                                                         Down The Memory Hole Big Question:  How effective is it to use the sasha and zamani terms in my classroom to teach historical perspective and to explain the dilemma of teaching history in the modern age?  ScreenCast Link Website : This website is an outline of a history course that is taught backwards, from the present to 1850s! It encourages students to understand material that relates to them and then build upon that to understand how the past is related. I really like this concept and would like to use it in my classroom.

I really like the stages it explains for an inquiry-integrated classroom.

How would we approach teaching the material? Website :  This website offers audio clips and evidence on a Texas textbook company's debacle with the Texas State Board of Education. Because of the argument that Mexican-American culture is a threat to American democracy.

Can it be successfully integrated?  Website :  This website offers a case study of a social studies classroom teacher, attempting to incorporate technology into the her lesson. This site offers many resources on motivation and integration as well. 

Gone With the Wind Screencast Link Big Question: Are we in a transition period in regards to black-white race relations in America? How will that affect the ways we teach slavery and the origins of racism?  Website This is a virtual museum made by students and a teacher. It provides images and quotes discussing slavery with a large number of primary sources. It is from PBS.

Interactive Website This website provides an in-depth explanation of the how to make use of simulators in the classroom. Simulations are an effective way of relating the content to the lives of students.

Red Eyes Screencast Link Big Question: How do we incorporate both additional anecdotal information for both knowledge and interest of the students, and make time for the standards? (I'm personally struggling with it with my Novice Teaching) Website This website offers an argument about the lack of Native American History in textbooks. The author states that old stereotypes and misconceptions still effect the way Native Americans are viewed in this country.
